MTV are continuing the hype of their exclusive first play of the new LP video and have posted another article about the upcoming release of "The Catalyst", which is accompanied by another on-set snippet of Mike discussing the video. Check out some excerpts below or read it in full & watch the clip here. "I think this is a little bit more of an abstract piece than what we've done before, my voice is a little tired because I'm singing on this one. And it's a lot of singing, it's been a long day, a lot of smoke. Once again, Mr. Hahn is in the driver's seat, and we have faith in where he'll take us." "Joe has directed all of our videos since, I think, the second or third one, so he's been doing almost all the videos for our entire career, and if it goes well, we pat him on the back, and if it's a pain in the butt, we blame him." The Catalyst will premiere August 25th at Midnight EST. Source: MTV
Everyones just hyping new LP so much and I'm beginning to doubt that it's even fully Warner's doing. Something big is truly up and all the major music groups know something big is coming this september. EDIT: and uh, bouncing band mates off trampolines? Sounds like someone's having fun
Lol i after hearing this, i doubt mike is going to performe great live, its sounds like its to hard for his voice
hmm I'm sure this album will be really new and great. But I'm a bit scared that if people keep acting like it's heaven itself, people get dissappointed. But still I can't be more excited about the album.
When they play live, their won't be dust (which is inedible BTW) getting thrown in his face....or heavy smoke everywhere...and he sure won't be getting pushed on trampolines. Give the man a break haha.
@alexrednex, Never doubt Mike's ability. Besides he plays shows EVERY night before doing vocal harmonies on songs like TLTGYA so he'll do just fine.
To shoot a great video, you have to have your lips sync up with the music exactly. In order to achieve that outcome, you might have to do many re-shoots. Many re-shoots = a lot of singing the same thing over and over again = a strain on your voice. Of course he's going to be tired. What, they said they were there for 5 hours on just that day didn't they?
funny how we haven't heard anything about second day takes on the music video. Did it only take one day to do the whole thing? And I hope they eventually have a longer version of the making of video that actually has some good shots and stuff. They always upload a longer version afterwards like the making of new divide video and what i've done
Being aired at midnight EST on the 25th, wouldn't that make it tonight at midnight EST since it will be the 25th than?
The making of video we just got is as good as it gets IMO. The video is released on August 26th at midnight eastern. So 24 hours from 12:00 tonight.
