Absolute Radio presenter Ben Jones recently conducted an interview with Mike whilst he was in the UK. Mike talks about working with Rick Rubin, A Thousand Suns and states that they will be "twisting" old songs on the new tour to make them fit in with the new sound. Check out the 22 minute long interview below.

It's funny as it's always been Mike doing almost all the interviews, wish others could come out more often too, like Joe and Rob.

It'll be interesting to see how they change some of their songs.

To me, it sounds like ATS will NOT be played from beginning to end, as Chester proposed. They wouldn't need to worry about having the old songs fit with ATS if they just played the new album as a whole. All they would need to do is have a long encore after "The Messenger" and play the old stuff. It sounds like we'll get a lot of cool transitions/slight remixes live!

Love hearing stories about Rick. A lot of people don't recognize how much he's contributed to the music industry aside from producing Johnny Cash and the like. He's a producing GOD.

This. We've already gotten new intros and outros. Imagine if they played OSC with a full-on electro edge.

Great interview. I also like the comparison to Muse. I'm excited.

    Best interview online yet.

People bashing Linkin Park nowadays should be forced to listen to interviews like this before they open their mouth or move their fingers.

Ben Jones seems to be a pretty cool guy, I like him.

I went forward in time and watched this a month ago, but then came back to my regular time to tell you.

HA! Mr. Linkin Park, Korean dignitary extraordinaire!

Very good interview. I've been wondering if they'd rework some of the older songs a bit to fit the new vibe for a while now.

I believe Chester only said they were thinking about doing that, not that they actually were.

I loooooove the spin LP puts on their songs live. To the point I'd wish Guitar hero and such would use the live version of a song rather than a normal one. Very cool interview.

When the band speculates in advance, you know you can't write it down and expect them to not change their mind before it happens.

"Felt like I was walking into the white house", "like the men in black will erase my mind" so most likely no chance of this leaking like MTM did =(

I think they will preform ATS in full on the concert in New York to celebrate it's release.
