    Linkin Park will be performing "The Catalyst" at this years MTV Video Music Awards, taking place September 12 from LA.

    "Linkin Park have just been added to an ever-growing list of performers for the big show, and they'll be playing "The Catalyst," for the first time on television.

    "After two years of working on our new album, we're looking forward to sharing our first live performance of new music with our fans around the world on the MTV Awards," Chester Bennington said in a statement about the show."

    HELL YES. Two days before the album is released couldn't be any more awesome. I cannot wait to see how this song will be live. Now I have to watch the VMA's

    We've been sitting on this a while. Glad it finally came through and we could post it! Great exposure for the band too, being two days before the album launch. Should be good. :)

    I was NOT expecting this at all . . . . I'm not a fan of MTV or the VMAs, but this should be an awesome performance.

    I guarantee you that LP will also be on SNL. Maybe even the season premiere. The timing couldn't be more perfect.
