....Woah... This got me excited... And i was trying to avoid being excited!!

 

This sux :S i was happy with some new music i got ... the wait was just becoming bearable ...and now this kicked my ass and im crazy again

 

I'm surprised no one has pointed out that this isn't in black and white. Every single LPTV/promotional video so far has been in black and white. Maybe they forgot to make it black and white for the trailer?

I hope it it all black and white. That'd be cool.

And what Minutes to Midnight tried to sound like ..?

 

Doubt that. Minutes to Midnight's "experiments" were more about more instrumentations. The ones on A Thousand Suns seem to be very concentrated on the electronic aspect.

 

It's going to be mighty hard to wait another two weeks.

 

Looking back at the progression of sound it would make sense

HT
Reanimation
ATS

They all seem to fit and build on the sound of the previous record.

 

I just remember how almost everyone was concerned about the first Catalyst snippets with the techno / trance like elements and now it's the complete opposite! now everone is going nuts like it should have been from the beginning I guess this should destroy most peoples worries...

This Clip kicks so much ass and this isn't the only heavy song, its gonna be f**** epic!! Really cant wait anymore

 

I've heard ATS and it fits perfectly like my above post states. The progression from HT to Reanimation mirrors Reanimation to ATS

2 Reanimation
3 ATS

 

I honestly think that you don't even need to wait. With everything that the band's said, the clips, and the fan reactions/reviews, there's no way this won't be what you're describing.

But I think, say 10 years from now, people may not criticize Meteora as much. Especially if the band releases more and more albums that don't sound like HT/Meteora. Meteora will be known as showing the world that they can make the ground breaking sound a second time. And to me, there's nothing wrong with that.

What I meant is that this clip sounds like Meteora, but with some of the things I thought it lacked. Properly heavy guitars, a bassier sound, a good beat, and from what I can hear the vocals sound much less produced.

Realistically I'm not sure if we would have got this album that early if it really is that much of a departure, but they could probably have made MTM around the time of Meteora, and then moved on fully with their third album. Then again, sometimes it seems as though making Meteora was part of what led them to head down this road.

Possibly, but I think part of the reason it gets so much flak from some people is that if you repeat the sound ad nauseum it isn't so groundbreaking.

 

Man that was the worst piece of crap I've ever heard from LP, which proves this album will suck.









Just kidding, it was awesome. And on that note I'll be avoiding the forums for the next 10 days.

 

I can't imagine if meteora was created differently. Imagine Numb, or Faint, or Somewhere I Belong never being created

 

I listened to the clip again and it's just...it's...it's fuck.
