well..i honestly don't think its right to compare...
    ATS is completely new..and different..
yes the previous albums are gr8..
    songs like...LOATR,what 've done,numb,faint,in the end,papercut,etc...are truly...epic..but

ATS is standout....somethin that has (almost)nothin to compare with...
interludes hav made this album a complete winner if one decides to go for TFE of every album so far..

    No.
A Thousand Suns has a completely new, unique and mature sound than any of other their albums. That would be like comparing a heavy metal song to a pop song - I mean, you just can't do it.You can say it is better, but you can't actually compare the music.

It depends what you're comparing. You can compare production, technicality, length of time, conceptuality, time invested, and swear words. All of which A Thousand Suns dominates in.

NO. All stylistically different. Well HT/Meteora aren't so much but HT/Meteora,MTM and ATS are all very different. The eras are different entirely. There is no point because I don't see much relation between the three eras

    Yes you can. Watch me.

ATS is better than HT, Meteora, and MTM.

What's great about HT is that there's absolutely no filler songs. Every song could have been a single, and they had a sonic identity.

With ATS, you have a group of songs that all have their uniqueness but they still somehow tie together very nicely. That's what puts it on top.

LP doesn't make filler tracks. Bad bands make filler tracks when they somehow can't make 10 simplistically crappy songs on a record.

You can. Even if you say you can't compare them because they sound different, just ask yourself "Is ATS as successful at what it sets out to do as HT/Meteora/MTM?".

You can compare them but you'll have a hard time because they are so different. Dean makes a great point, though.

Yes. Yes you can and yes, we should. As, if I didn't compare them I'd not know how much I hate Meteora.. And people, that is scary.

You can compare ATS to HT/Meteroa and MTM because they're all by the same band just from different eras. Hybrid Theory and Meteora, don't get me wrong, I loved them, and listened to them serially, and asked myself "how can a band like Linkin Park do any better than that?"

Then came Minutes to Midnight, which blew my mind. I didn't follow the album's release, therefore did not know it had been released, and when I saw that Linkin Park had done something new, I immediately bought it and was absolutely hooked on LP's new style.

Then came the announcement of ATS, and I was very curious to hear what LP would do next, so I followed the album, joined up here and followed everything. Now it's come out, I believe that they have achieved a new high in music- they have completely changed, yet still managing to sound like Linkin Park. Yes ATS is comparable to old LP, but for me ATS just takes the cake here.

Yes and No. You can compare everything but when someone asked me where it standed in comparison to HT-MET-MTM I couldn't say anything, I just said you have to listen to understand... But I think music is not something you can explain, it's something you feel and live. and since i'm not good at explaining my emotions, well...
