As we know, the next LP single is the beautiful "Waiting For The End", so what would everyone like to see in the next music video? Enchanting cosmic landscapes? Chester flying in space? Personally, i'd like LP to step outside of what they've done in the past with their music videos, and continue this thread that is obvious throughout their latest release. Imagine a story with a main character unraveling via artistic experiments. No band members or performance would be a new twist. I'd like to see lots of flaring artwork in this video. Perhaps, in what seems to be the follow up to "In The End", they can drop a bomb on the world that was featured in that music video. LP can make a splendorous hit music video without getting conventional on us. Share your thoughts.
I'd like them to involve the bizarre and beautiful artwork concepts from the album and fit it into the video's style. I picture a lot of black and white while listening to this song. If they start out with that and then switch to very colourfully extravagant textures for the finale then that would be very awesome. Perhaps a white wall of latex is the foreground piece and the band is rendered into it, so we can only see the latex stretching to the outline of their faces. The band members are reaching for their instruments that are on the other side of the wall. They are unable to grasp them due to their confines, yet they keep pushing to get closer and closer for what it is they want. This where we could see the shapes of their hands and other body parts. LP is trying to break free. Black matter can shoot out of the wall in sporadic places forming the album cover artwork, and at the very instant we hear the finale, a fantastic array of paint and lazers and spacial anomalies rupture the latex wall spewing a spectacular finish. The fans rush in for an ending performance. This reminds me of "going back to the drawing board" by having a clean slate, and stretching the bounds of what one does to release desired artistic chaos.
Whatever they do, I hope they don't use digital distortion effects, especially the "melting" one used so prominently in New Divide. I know it's an aesthetic part of the artwork, but I think I've seen just about enough of it. Anyway, it wouldn't fit the song. I agree, it should have some black and white footage.
lol yes. a calvary of flying giraffes that poop atomic bombs. MLK, RO, MS, and other nb pas figures are riding them into space.
Hahaha you guys are funny. I think what is interesting about that song, it's that at first it's dark and depressive yet I feel like it's full of hope. I wish the video will borrow that feeling.
Yea, I have those contrasting things as visuals in my mind - thats why the dark and white images are so strong. lol@1154 To quote a funny kid from camp: "an asteroid runs into a octopus."
Dreadlocks and a pipe There needs to be a rainbow in the video. First though that came to my mind, I know it's random...
This, I'd kinda would like the video to be somewhat of a continuation of Shadow of the Day, except unlike Chester being a ghost in BTH, Mike will be the ghost and somehow they should tie in the chick from Crawling. --RS
