Record sales have been pretty bad lately so I'm quite worried but I hope they go for at least 300K. I mean, Katy Perry just released her CD on the brink of 2 HUGELY successful singles and it didn't even make it to 200K it's first week...
a jillion. Im just kidding. alot of people pre-ordered. if you added the downloads on itunes it would be HUGE. I think..... 600,000? maybe 200,000 in the US
@Grudgepunkr. I just hate katy perry. Her music. Her Image. Shes one of the few singers i really hate. i didnt know it didnt make 200 K. It was huge too with the singles. I dont know then. and that was mainstream pop! :O but no one really buys the full album in mainstream
In America, erm... maybe 400k or something! UK will be a lot less but I do expect it to be number 1 in both countries if it isn't I'll be sooo shocked!
Gold here in Finland, confirmed today by Imperiumi.net (finnish music site). Over 11 000 pieces sold.
This site has U.S. sales projecting around 250,000...ouch. http://www.hitsdailydouble.com/news/newsPage.cgi?news08224 Next week’s chart will feature a two-horse race with Warner Bros. rap-rock Linkin Park’s much-praised, Rick Rubin-produced A Thousand Suns, in the early lead, sporting a projected total of 250-260k. That is none too shabby, though it’s sobering to realize that just three short years ago, Minutes to Midnight moved a total of 623k its first week of release in May ’07.
