I tried (and clearly failed) to resolve it. I swear.
Who are the Deft Tones? Are they like a Deftones cover band?
Ok, so I attempted to read all the posts before posting myself, but couldn't keep up LOL.
Clip sounds good. But, as a few have said, I'll wait until the full song surfaces before passing true judgement.
Based on the lyrics though, it seems highly symbolic. Thinking it means that they've built their music up over their careers, and had so many expectations from people as to what they might release in music, but now they're (sort of) returning back to some old styles, with a mix of new too and burning down any expectations anyone had.
Why yes! Yes they are...
Whoever they are, they're probably very ... deft. ;P
For me it's amazing... So many emotions from my mind and body full in creeps... Can't wait for full track...
(sorry, off topic but had to be done )
Havent looked at the lyrics that way. Thank you

They gonna shapeshift again, beware
I'm hoping, if anything that the lyrics are excusable in the context of the entire song and that the verse lyrics are good enough to make up for it. As for right now though, these lyrics are not really that good.
Also, if this ends up being a Meteora Part 2 lyric wise, I am going to be so fucking annoyed.
Haha, nothing here sounds like HT or Meteora to me. It actually could fit inside of ATS, but you would wonder: "Where the fuck did this come from?" So...um.. I guess, it wouldn't.
The LQ version did make this sound really soft, but those electronic hooks that mike was mentioning before make this so danceable!
I wonder sometimes what people want when they say "these lyrics are not that good". Like, do you want 100 syllables in 5 seconds? Do you want 3 different languages? Do you want them to make up words just so they rhyme because they don't have the talent to do it properly?
As long as a song gets it's message across (whatever it may be, in this case) then they're alright with me. One thing about LP's lyrics is you can pretty much take it however you want, so it doesn't have a set meaning, instead of some jumbled shit like "I fucked her the mouth 'til the money poured out of her eyes."
This is Linkin Park's first song about Linkin Park
I expect to be upbeat like New Divide thing... It is a little bit slow for me.... i thought it was fast tempo... damn! well, its a 30 sec clip... i want to hear it by monday....
Hey! That's my line!
