^ This is incredibly witty yet simple. Nice!

Somewhere in the booklet doesn't it say the 'Dust Brothers' wrote With You? Or was that production?

They provided some beats and samples which formed the basis for the song which the band then wrote around that stuff, so they're credited as writers on the song.

Ghostwriters won't be credited. that's the point of being ghostwriter. But don't get me wrong, I would hate if that would be true, but I don't see why it couldn't be possible

Linkin Park writes their own lyrics. You heard a false rumor.

Anybody else still else listen to this album as a storyline? Because I still do, and I love it because I can still get those same eerie feelings as I did the first time I heard ATS. It's as if I still get surprised by the story each time. What I intend to do and still haven't is listen to MTM - ATS straight as a story. That'd be interesting

I still do. I love the whole feel and story of the album. To be, the album is about the end of humanity...

I would say it's more about the things that can potentially cause the end of humanity. However, there's a sense of hope and how we can survive, or however you want to word it.

I wish they put a little more effort making this more of a concept album. Sure, there are some ties, but it isn't American Idiot.

They didn't mean it to be, like, a linear story like "American Idiot" was. The band clearly wanted to make "A Thousand Suns" more abstract, there being some elements which connect the songs together but it's not like there's a certain correct answer surrounding it all. :) I think they did that well, where you can't figure out exactly what the songs are about (within or outside of the album's context) but you still get the sense that they're connected on many different levels

I know what their intentions were, I just think it would have been interesting if they took a slightly different approach regarding how they went about connecting the songs.

I kind of wish that all the songs on the album were lyrically connected. Songs like When They Come For Me, Blackout and Wretches And Kings are all great, but I think the lyrics should have been more with the theme. The demo lyrics for Blackout were pretty much connected with the theme even.

Of course being a ghostwriter lacks evidence which is even questionable to the existence of a ghostwriter which is the problem thus the name "Ghost Writer". But I highly doubt Linkin Park would take credit for other people's work.

As if they had some control over anything when they got signed.

I'm pretty sure Warner is smart enough not to include the terms and conditions that Ghostwriters have to write their songs for them, if anything that everyone involved in their projects must be credited. For not only would Linkin Park be embarrassed but Warner would be the one coming out most red cheeked.

But aren't there like, dozens of demo versions of the same songs that made it into the album?

If anything, stuff was REMOVED from the songs, not added.

I will admit I have been listening to ATS and MTM alot. I have not listened to HT and Meteora in a while now, Those albums feel boring.

For those of you that say Linkin Park doesn't write their own music, give this a listen, please?
