This is so true. The image we see as the "album cover" could just be part of it.
i think after few days every bady will like this cover
including u 2 DEREK
Sorry my mistake, C&C: Kane's wrath have nothing special, but i remember there's a collector's edtion for a game which while you slide the outer cover out, the inside cover actually change to a totally different cover/image, i just cant remember what that game is
The two covers overlapping is really awesome looking...
I think the whole album "art" as a whole will rock. I'm just ready to hear some music!
Been a huge fan of LP since 2000, and i couldn't resist joining after many months of reading. The hype is too good to resist
Personally i like the album cover. Goes hand-in-hand with LP's new direction imo
Don't count on it.
Welcome to LPA! You'll find its alot more fun joining the topics then just reading.
Hey look I just made my own version of the cover in 2 minutes!
Original cover looks great. Pixeled one too.

Why would you link to an image of the cover in a news post with that exact image in it?
I like this one more. It looks like your making a heart shape with your fingers
Tee hee... Winkin
Excellent! Glad to see you aboard! Welcome to the LPA.
1000*1000px resolution one on my link.
Alright look what I just found! http://tiny.cc/dg1gt It's not the most official but it looks like we have confirmation on a cd/dvd pack!
Looks great! A brand new DVD!
I am disappointed but I respect their decision. Because regardless of how much we may like it or not, the content is what's going to determine what we really think of their new material. If we get an amazing album it will make the cover look that much more better, I truly believe the songs will give weight and significance to the art.
What worries me though is that i'm going thru the similar process I went thru with MTM. Small disappointments leading up to the release of the album. Before MTM I can honestly say I was NEVER disappointed with anything they did.
The problem with LP is that they pretty much set a bar as far as what to expect from them goes. They constructed and kept on building on this weird style both artistically and musically. Whoever became a fan of the band that was sold to us for 5 years or so can't help but to feel somewhat disappointed or left feeling like "that's it..?".
The sad part is that not only did they change musically, but art/concept wise they changed as well. LP was all of that combined, their mysterious art mixed with their hybrid kind of music. You compare their recent music videos to their early ones and you will definitely see how they've gone downhill - creatively. I respect their new work and direction but I became a fan of the LP that came out with the EP in 99' and died around 2005-06.
Hmm, Well Its interesting I'll give em that, but like many have said, I don't love it. But nor do I hate it.
Think about it this way guys, at least they didn't go for an all out minimalism like the Beatle's White album & Metallica's Black album.
Here's a tip for you. What you need to understand is that Linkin Park has above all the best preceding knowledge of how and what is good or not good for their album. And you need to trust them that they chose the best possible album artwork. They know what works best with the album and they think things through. Linkin Park as you know are the most perfectionistic band ever. There's a reason to everything. You can't let yourself go down the path of disappointment. Just keep excited and think about the new album..."We're finally getting a new album" (that's all that's going through my head) and most importantly trust that Linkin Park knows what they're doing.
The real one is much better.
