Wow! I don't even know what to say except for are you for real? Like seriously? I find it hard to believe that an album(a near brilliant one at that IMO) of any kind can have any sort of repercussions. I was going to make some silly joke about ATS being the catalyst to your downfall but every version sounds tasteless.
Yeah, I came into this thread thinking you'd explain how "A Thousand Suns" made you realise your relationship sucked ... but, no, that's not the case so I'm just weirded out now.
I seriously want OP to come in here and explain himself. Was the album just "OMG SOOO GOOD" you realized you didn't need sex anymore? Was it so amazing human companionship just didn't compare?
Wow that has to be the saddest thing I have ever heard. I mean I love music just as much as the next angsty teenager but dude, putting music before a relationship is really dumb. Granted your still young(as am I) but still. Best thing about the album is you when you turn off your stereo and leave the room, it will be there when you get back. So yes, you failed pretty badly there and you should probably try to get her back considering she was carrying something important. She probably isn't feeling all that great about herself right about now. She just lost a baby and a boyfriend
What's ironic is that I listened to "A Thousand Suns" so many times on my iPod and (unlike OP at ALL) it helped me grow stronger and I became more of a very loving boyfriend and amazing best friend to my girlfriend than ever (I still loved her then, but I was acting around her like I was just a good friend). In fact, I want to kiss her in the rain/snow to "Iridescent". :] basically, Linkin Park helped me rather than break us up. Anyways, music rocks. But human love > music love my friend.
I'd rather have music than a relationship, anyways. You took the right path. Unless she was really, really, hot. Then it's up in the air.
...All I have to say is, if this is for real, you may want to consider talking to a counselor. nothing to be ashamed of.
The fuck is this? I don't even... A Thousand Suns was legitimately awesome but I haven't listened to the album in full since the week it was officially released. And I don't know anyone else that has passed on a relationship and, what seems like their life in general, for just listening to this album. iPods do exist, you know? So you can carry music around with you...if it's that absolutely necessary for life to listen to ATS every day, all day. As everyone else has said: this is ridiculous.
