A Thousand Suns Tracklist

I really hope Mike see's this, and confirms this later today. Usually, if Mike posts anything at all, it's been around 2PM or 3PM EST.

 

Slow news week.

 

Well 15 tracks almost confirms they'll be at least one full lenght instrumental on this album. Whether its an intro or an interlude.

I'm pretty sure there will be a few 2-3 mins tracks as well (it'll be silly if there wernt) but Hopefully we'll see another epic 6+ track like TLTGYA

 

Yeah, that's what I guessed too, a few pages back. I can't see it being less than 50mins though, probably a full hour. I mean they need 2 vinyls to accomodate the full thing.

Why would it be silly? The lead single is over 5 and a half minutes.

Okay, maybe we need to put two and two together. I don't know shit about vinyl records, but does anyone here know how much space/time those things can hold? I find it a little odd that, in the Deluxe Package for A Thousand Suns, that they would include two vinyl records for one album. It wouldn't make much sense for them to release two of them for the hell of it, unless their intention are for the fan to play one and collect the other, but not many people have anything these days that would even play a vinyl, so why release two in one package? The only reason I can come up with is that the record is so long that, for a vinyl, the album can't fit on just one vinyl record so they had to release two.

...or am I just looking into things too deeply?

I wonder how their setlist will look like after the release. Very little Hybrid Theory and Meteora one would expect.

 

That's actually the general belief, so no, you aren't looking into it too deeply at all.

Let's just hope the rumors of a long album are true.

 

I would say at least 5 songs from each album. 20 song setlist divided by 4 records would be 5.
