This news has been around on the internet for a few days now but being as it's now on their blog: http://www.myspace.com/alkalinetrio http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendID=6415997&blogID=378841358 The studio version of the first single, Help Me, is also on their Myspace if you wish to hear, as is the artwork.
"Help Me" sounds decent enough. Alkaline Trio always seems to deliver, so I'm not that worried about it.
Few other new songs, both kick ass. In Vain Into The Night
I'm pretty optimistic for this album now. Although, a lot of the time Into The Night sounds a bit like This Could Be Love (from Good Mourning) being sang in a slightly higher key. Not that that's a bad thing.
Good Mourning is my favorite Alkaline Trio album, so I'm kind of hoping for the new CD to be kind of like that one. Not completely like it, but kind of.
Yeah, for me it's either that or Goddamnit. Oh and I meant Continental in my last post, not This Could Be Love.
I cannot wait for this album. My favorite previous album is at a Tie with Crimson and From Here To Infirmary
http://www.spinner.com/2008/06/09/alkaline-trio-help-me-video-premiere/ I forgot to mention, it's from AOL so I don't think people from outside the US can watch it as of yet.
I'm halfway through Over And Out right now and (although maybe it's a bit early to say this) so far it's potentially their best album since they left Asian Man. Which is saying something.
i listened to it a couple times in a row and i thought it was really good. I'm going to listen to it again later on today to see if it still holds up.
