Alter Bridge is one of my favorite bands, I used to like Creed a lot as well but Myles Kennedy fits in well with the old Creed guys. Some of my favorite songs from One Day Remains are Open Your Eyes, Metalingus, Shed My Skin, In Loving Memory, and The End Is Here. I also like Broken Wings which is going to be their next single and video.

Even though they got a new lead singer and then changed their name, they still sound exactly the same to me.

I too think that they sound a lot like Creed. I hated Creed and I hate Alter Bridge, I cannot stand the vocals.

There's some similarity to Creed, but I liked their album.

Just like Creed, they were decent until the radio stations started playing their music every 10 minutes

Alter Bridge are amazing, they're also one of my fave bands. I've seen them live 3 times in the past 7 months, i saw them last Friday actually. They're great people and great musicians and "One Day Remains" is an amazing album.

I was never a Creed fan really, but Alter Bridge are great. Although, being in the UK i don't hear Creed or Alter Bridge on the radio or TV at all, so i don't get it force fed to me.

People who say they sound exactly like Creed, need to take another listen. Ofcourse there are similarities (3 of the members were in Creed... obviously) but they are two very different bands, and in my personel opinion Myles is a lot better vocally than Scott Stapp was with the band.

    Anyway, Alter Bridge. Great band.

    They're okay I guess.

"Metallingus" gets on my nerves though, since I hear it every Monday night. I hate that song.

I made a topic about them a while back if I'm not mistaken. Anyways, they're okay I guess, I only listen to them cause Mark Tremonti is a kick ass guitarist. Miles isn't much of an improvement of Scott Stapp, but he's better.

Personaly, I really liked creed, but then they release the album after "Human Clay", and it was a big letdown, then I heard the stuff about Scott being big-headed and a prick, so I really didnt care for them much anymore. But alas, they broke up and alter bridge was formed, I bought the CD, it is good, but the lead singers voice goes wayyyyyy to high [for this type of music] and gets on my nerves, some awesome guitar work, but the lead singer needs to get deeper.

They're not bad. Kind of like Creed with all the crap filtered out. Nothing really groundbreaking though.

I liked Creeds first album...and when the second album came out.....I just didnt care the music anymore. Plus my taste in music has changed. Alter Bridge sounds like recent Creed to me, but if people like it, thats cool.

Hell yeah @ some people. Mark Tremonti is an awesome guitarist. He's proven that in Alter Bridge and especially in Creed.

I don't see how that's Alter Bridge's fault, or how it reduces the quality of the music. You're complaining about overplay on a site about Linkin Park? Kinda strange to me. :chemist:

I like Alter Bridge. Myles Kennedy is a major improvement. Mark Tremonti is freaking amazing, and I'd give *insert something important here* to be able to play like that. His solo on "Open Your Eyes" is unbelievable.

Scott Stapp was awesome and I miss Creed but Alter Bridge is great too, Scott Stapp is coming out with a solo cd too, I heard they pushed his album back to August though.

I have a hard time seeing Stapp's album doing anything but flop.

They are pretty decent. Mark Tremonti is an amazing guitarist, so anyband he plays in is worth listening to.

Tremonti is the man, but i would like it if he didn't hold back in the studio, he should have like 2 minute solos in some of the songs, like at the end of Metalingus, they should had kept on playing.
