Alright, this might be a shameless plug for a friend's band, but I'm in love with their music, and I've got a feeling they're going to make it somewhere, unlike most of the talent in Northeast Ohio, so I'm going to do a little advertising.

...And You're Not Invited is a small band with big dreams. That's about the only way I can describe them. I've been friends with their singer since before either of us even started going to school, back when we were wee little lads. He's got an awesome voice; the recordings really don't do it justice. Their music is more or less pop punk; some might even go as far as to say they're power pop, but that's neither here nor there.

They just got back from Chicago not too long ago recording their first studio EP, and they put up a couple recordings on their MySpace from the sessions; they sound excellent. I can only imagine that the CD versions will sound so much better. They're not a "party" band or anything like that, so their lyrics reflect situations that everyone deals with every day: friendships, relationships, etc. Pretty much your typical pop punk flare, but with their own kick.

    Anyways, check them out: http://www.myspace.com/andyourenotinvited

Let me know what you think of them and I'll pass it on to them!

They're pretty good. I mean, It's not my cup of tea, but they seem pretty good at what they do. I could definitely see them getting onto Fuse.

Yeah. I mean, they're not the greatest, but I love them, and I think their music is awesome, which is why I decided to see what everyone else thought. :)

I unfortunately do not have a way of listening to them right now, but I will as soon as I get home. As long as they dont sound a thing like Hawthorne Heights (who with all due respect Will, were the worst contribution Ohio has ever made to rock music) I probably will not have an issue with them.

Sounds like the music they would play on an episode of Scrubs.

    I like 'em ok.
