I've been awake for 4 hours, and it's 8:30 in the morning. That isn't right.

I can't believe she has Cancer.. I used to talk to her all the time and she's a senior and she is diagnosed with Leukemia?

My mind is like blown right now. I've known so many relatives to pass from Cancer, but much older. But to be this young is like.. I'm just appreciating things so much more right now.

 

Sadly its becoming more and more common. My friend Brandy's son Cole was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia at the age of 7 weeks. The doctors all believed that he was born with it, because of how advanced it was at the time of his diagnosis.

 

Yeah and this girl has had the same boyfriend nearly almost all of High School, they were a great match and probably would have gotten married and everything. It's just like... I can't even describe it.

 

Depending on which one she has, there's four different types, with a series of subtypes, AML has the lowest survival rate, and if they caught it early enough, she might be ok, treatment is harsh though, if she goes to transplant, things can be really brutal.

 

All I know is she has had to have some surgeries because of it, or so I think.

So I really don't know, they announced it at the football game yesterday and I didn't know she had Cancer previously, I just knew her Myspace and Facebook were updated with her talking about "Surgeries goin' good!" and stuff.

 

She had a Port put in her chest most likely, its like an internal iv for giving chemo through.

And shes had a ton of transfusions.
