The last thread died, but I have some important news for those of you who got into the band last time around.

    1) Their live shows are AMAZING. I went to their first show and their showing at South By So What and they were definitely on point.
    2) Their EP will most likely be coming out this month or early next. Finishing touches are on the way.
    3) You can hear the new FULL BAND version of 'Exit The Quitters' and the new song 8.14 (which I had titled as 8-14-07 in the previous thread) on their purevolume.

The new Exit The Quitters is amazing, and 8.14 has such an epic-sounding chorus (or, at least to me).

    Thanks for listening in!

    -----

EDIT: And here's some EXCLUSIVE info for you guys!

Artist Vs Poet's DEBUT EP will be titled Alive Once Again. There will be 5 tracks, with a 6th track being an iTunes exclusive. Here's the tracklisting:

    1. Assurance, Closure
    2. Gateway
    3. 8-14
    4. Exit The Quitters
    5. An Infallible Remedy
    6. Untitled (iTunes Exclusive)

Expect it to drop May 13, 2008.

Dude I HAVE to buy this when it comes out. definitely one of my new favorite bands, and I like that I found out about them from you as they were starting, so I can go along with their progress.

8.14 is amazing. Oh and nice sig. I think the EP cover looks cool.

Yeah, it's amazing, isn't it? I'm having such a great time just knowing that I know these guys and helping promote a great band.

On that note, I KNOW this is really late, but I've been lazy. My camera unfortunately ran out of batteries BEFORE the show, but I got in this little video before hand. It's me, my old roommate Michael, and Tarcy from AVP outside smoking a cigarette before their FIRST show.

Yeah, they're great. I think I'm going to try to get a few unopened copies of the EP when they come back to the area on the 25th so I can sell them a few years from now

Click here to hear short clips of the EP

And by that, I mean you can hear Gateway and the Untitled track, since you can already hear the other ones on purevolume.

Just as a note though, 8.14 and Exit The Quitters will be removed on Monday.

But in other news, let's revitalize discussion a bit.

What are your favorite tracks and in what order?

    Here's mine:

    8.14
    An Infallible Remedy
    Assurance, Closure
    Exit The Quitters

Not going to judge the bonus track or Gateway yet, as I haven't heard the studio versions of either. I've heard Gateway live, but I was too caught up in the moment to make judgment.

Yeah I put it ahead of Exit the Quitters because even the new studio version I;m not a big fan of. And I Loved the Acoustic Version of Gateway that they did on Stickam

This band could hit it huge if they're marketed right.

With that said, It's not my cup of tea although I do listen to bands in their genre. The vocals don't do a lot for me.

    Ah, yes. I forgot.

Daniel and I hung out with some of the guys from AVP and Young and Divine (and Breathe Carolina and I think one more band...) after the South By So What Festival on March 14th. It was pretty fun until too many bands showed up and the cops were around. So we left.

IT'S A BOOKBAG, IT HOLDS BOOKS!

Here's a short, crappy vid of the iTunes exclusive song played acoustic. It's not the whole song, and the quality could be better (a LOT better)

But to make up for it, here's a vid of them playing An Infallible Remedy acoustic.
