Does anybody want to try to match the titles of the songs that we were given to the "Untitled" tracks from the French Article? I know it sounds really stupid but I would like to see if some titles could match their descriptions.
I think the second one could be either The Requiem, When They Come For Me, Wretches and Kings, or Wisdom Justice and Love. Those are the titles that suggest that suggest a "political speech" the most to me. That doesn't narrow it down a lot but yeah, haha.
If The Requiem is indeed an opening instrumental than i think the description of that song: "It starts with a long intro with successive drums, keyboard, and finally the vocals in the background. Chester Bennington is the only one to give voice to the first verse in which the rhythm is almost dancing. A big break that recalls the excellent electro Reanimation (the remix album of Hybrid Theory) breaks the rhythm of the song. Mike Shinoda doesn't make an appearance until the bridge/climax. He calmly raises his voice, then the piece remounts in power. The title ends with an a cappella singers of both." could be The Requiem plus The Radiance seems logically to me with the description on the other side is pure intuition and speculation
this is a really clever idea for a thread, i'd love to see what people think and howw close we can get the the real thing i think i agree with the idea put forward by "The Candidate" of the build upbeing The Requiem and The Radience, that'd be so cool
I'll take a stab at this... 1. Waiting For the End 2. Wretches and Kings 3. Iridescent 4. Empty Spaces 5. Robot Boy 6. The Catalyst HOWEVER I do not want to put down the idea that it's simply tracks 9-14. Wretches and Kings seems like the most sure-fire guess out of the bunch, and if it were tracks 9-14 both it and the Catalyst would fit in the frame. So don't let that surprise you come the album.
Ah very interesting notion you've got there, kinda like the Wake/Given Up partnership. I guess LP hadn't split the tracks just yet. Though I guess we won't know untill we're given more info. oh, that note Mike has comfirmed in an LPU chat that there will be a few short interludes. From the complete tracklist, lets have a stab of what they'll be...
I think that "Jornada del muerto" will be the second one, and that part of the political speech might be the J. Robert Oppenheimer quote/video he did after the nuclear bombs. But i'm probably over thinking it and it won't be anything like that, especially the quote, but i would like it if it turns out that way
I didn't think this thread would get much attention. I really like the responses but we all have varied opinions here.
I think Wisdom, Justice, and Love could be track 2. Isn't "Wisdom, Justice, and Love" a quote from an MLK jr speech? So the speaker at the beginning of the track could be him. Iridescent could be track 3 or 4. 3 for the solo and Mike singing verses, 4 because it crescendos. I bet The Catalyst is track 6.
Using Ana's descriptions, I'm pretty sure this is the 6 track sampler: 1. Blackout 2. Wretches And Kings 3. Waiting For The End 4. Robot Boy 5. Burning In The Skies 6. The Catalyst
And I'd say you're right based on descriptions. Which means I only got one right. =( (Not including the Catalyst of course, lol)
my guesS: 1) Iridescent 2) Wretches And Kings 3) Waiting For the End 4) When They Come from me 5) Burning in the Skies 6) The Catalyst edit: 1) Blackout 2) Wretches and Kings 3) Waiting For the End 4) Robot Boy 5) Burning in the Skies 6) The Catalyst like y Xero21 said.
