WTF? A life sentence for drug possession? Murderers go free after 20 years.

I know, how stupid is the system.
    That is just unjust.

Try to blow lots of people up. 3 years
Possibly accidently bring drugs into another contry, facing death.

What the hell, it really infuriates me to se the system in bali so wrong and unjust. What is the world comming to.

I am so ANGRY about this. This is a huge story in Australia and I don't know ONE person who doesn't think she is innocent. We are devastated.

in australia (at least in my area) i don't know anyone who's really "gripped" by the case. though there were people crying when the verdict came about. radio calls were frequent.
20 years for possible drug smuggling? ... honestly ...

i'd say she's more likely innocent than guilty with the reaction she had, but still, yeah, the indonesian justice system is different. when i ask people they say nobody knows whether she's guilty of it or not. very frustrating, that is.

i do believe she is innocent but if there is no solid proof, then how could they have said she was innocent. If they let her off the hook it would leave a hole right open for other people with an intention to smuggle drugs into Bali.

I agree that there was a lack of evidence to prove she was innocent though many people i know, actually practically everyone i know thinks she is innocent. But a justice system relies on solid evidence.

What i think is just idiotic is that she can come close being given the death sentance and ends up with 20 years in prison while the guy behind the Bali Hotel bombing only gets three years.

It is just so corrupt
    Where is the justice

I say fuck to those judges.

Apparently they didn't want to see evidence supplied by the Australian government.

    I mean, WTF?!

As an Australian, I feel pained to see a fellow Aussie get unjustly punished.

    So not bagus sekali.

The US is actually very lenient.. I also heard that if it was an Indonesian person instead, they would have gotten life in prison.

Theres different laws in different countries. Most asian countries are very harsh with drug possession cases. I know, im an asian. I also heard they only gave her 20 years because she is not indonesian. The judges were lenient with their decision.

Know one knows if she is guilty or not.....nearly all people in australia say shes innocent just cos...well shes australian.

And bout the guy that planned the bali bombng thing getting only 3 yrs....ill never understand that.

So your saying if someone smuggles in a bomb and get caught, they can just say "oh it was planted there i don't know about it" so they just get off charges. Thats the stupidest theory i've heard.
