^Pretty long list there, but just for your information, Breaking Benjamin didn't broke up. They are on hiatus. And also, great to see another Slipknot hater here! xD
Wasn't really big into music until 7th grade but before that I listened to at assorted times: Nsync (shut up. I had three sisters) Blink-182 Yellowcard Linkin Park (Just Meteora era) Simple Plan Yellowcard Fall Out Boy Good Charlotte All American Rejects Bon Jovi Then in 7th Grade I started listening to the radio and got really into the rap that was on the radio at the time (Low was my favorite song at the time to give the timeframe) Artists I listened to in 8th-10th Grade (but don't at all anymore or if I do barely): Flo Rida T.I. Akon T-pain Usher Ne-Yo Drake All the aformentioned bands Breaking Benjamin Post-grunge (Nickelback, 3 Doors Down, etc.) random pop crossover rap hits Chingy The Fray One Republic B.O.B Classic rock songs I got into because of Rock Band 2 Eminem Em, LP, and Blink are the only artists I still listen to regularly Then sophomore/junior year it all changed (I'm currently a senior) and I started to get sick at what the radio was playing and started to branch out and discovering bands/songs on youtube and radio 104.5.; my local alternative station which I started to listen to religiously. I also discovered Childish Gambino and started to realize there was good rap outside of the radio. Stuff I've got into since then: Sum 41 Rage Against The Machine Incubus Red Hot Chili Peppers Weezer 2pac 311 Chiddy Bang Jay-Z (oddly I didn't listen to him when I was in my radio rap phase) The Killers Lupe Fiasco Muse Nirvana Radiohead Rise Against Sublime U2 Foo Fighters Beastie Boys and many more... This list is ever growing as every week I seem to find a new artist or song I love. I stay away from the radio now; aside from alternative stations and the only songs I like on pop radio are the indie crossovers that have been so successful lately and the rare good hip hop song (Niggas In Paris, for one)
