You lost me on your question... that have better performance... what? That have better performances live than on CD's, on CD's than live, than the bands they play, etc?

I think this is essentially a "What band do you think has the best live show?" thread.

I'll go with Apex Theory as an amazing live show.

As far as stage shows go, I'd say Marilyn Manson, Rammstein, Rob Zombie, Gorgoroth...

As far as the songs and whatnot, I'd say The Mars Volta, Johnny Cash, The Dillinger Escape Plan..

Type O Negative is haunting live, though. Peter's voice sounds just as haunting and depressing live as it does on studio albums.

Weezer, Social Distortion, Street Dogs, Anti Flag, The Used, Backyard Babies, Bouncing Souls, Tiger Army, Incubus, Dropkick Murphys, Transplants

HIM sucked live but it wasn't entirely their fault. Half of it was that their sound guy made the guitar and drums wayyy too loud, and the other half was that Ville Valo was incredibly drunk and couldn't actually sing. But that was my least favorite concert ever.
