I own a 4GB iPod Nano. I was wondering if anybody knows of an mp3 player that is better than an iPod. I just hate having to use iTunes as an mp3 folder since I have an iPod, and I'm getting sick of my nano. Any suggestions? Also something that is fairly easy to use....

That actually looks really cool. How much do they usually cost? Where can I get one?

What Friskey says  Its a really good one for a really good price. You get everything that an iPod Video does and more video extentions. There's a 30GB and a 60GB version of it.

    Well worth your money ;)

You don't have to use iTunes to manage your iPod. Both Winamp and Foobar can manage it. :)

my older brother has a Zen Vision:M. he bought it when it came out for $330 (30 GB). last time I saw it was like $230, but I haven't checked in awhile, so it may be discontinued.

I have a 30 GB black Microsoft Zune, and I like it a lot. my only complaints are video support (could have supported .avi), by default you can't use it as an external hard drive (if you edit a couple registry keys, it pops up, its a feature you kind of have to activate), and (I think) you have to use the Zune media player to sync stuff (basically WMP 11 w/ support for .m4a and a new skin). Its about $220 at most places now I think.

A Zune is a good choice of simplicity. Only around $260 for a 30G one; pretty cheap to me. It also holds pictures (in JPEG form) and video.

And why'd you get an iPod? They're over rated and much more expensive than an equal MP3 Player. (Finally something my brother and I can agree on exactly.)

Sandisk Sansa E200 Series are great MP3 players, they support .wav also

they support video, photos, and of course mp3's you can manage them with windows media player, and other programs

and you CAN go into it and use it as a small hard drive, and manually remove things if you wish, one thing i wish you could do on iPod

I think almost all MP3 Players can deal with .wav files also.

Have you ever bothered trying to figure out how to fulfil your wish? Because, y'know, there is a setting to enable disk mode.

DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED. I wanted that model so bad (Toshiba Gigabeat S) and when I finally went to get one, I had found out they discontinued them. they were selling on ebay for like $350, wayyy over what they should be. then I found out that the Zune was basically the Gigabeat's interface in a different shell. but yeah I had wanted that one for a long time.

I have yet to see someone sell an mp3 player that is equal or less than what Apple is asking for their 80GB Classic.

I'd give Sony Ericssons W series phones a look. I have a W800 (which are discontinued now, but you could always buy a K750 and reflash it) and I've been a happy chappy. Once you buy a 4GB memory card you have a phone, video player etc. all wrapped into one. A rather cheap way to get a N95/iPhone methinks.

For now I think the W660s are worth a look ^_^

Go to www.se-nse.com if you do end up looking down that route, a fair bit of useful info there.
