This is a forum "game" we've been doing at my other forum, for Dream Theater. The idea is to make a CD, with a track list of what you consider the best songs of a certain period (2007-2013 works for DT too because that's when they changed labels). I chose the dates 2006-2013 because of the major style change between Meteora and MTM, since including anything before that would just make this a "WATS UR FAVORITE SONG LOL" thread. You can include stuff from LPU CDs, as long as it's a demo/b-side that was recorded during album sessions in 2006-2013, not just one of the HT/Meteora demos that's appeared on any of the recent LPU CDs. 1. Yeah, I mean mine is about 50 minutes, maybe a little more than that. The real challenge is putting the songs together in a way that they flow into one another well.

I tried to keep it under an hour. Barely succeeded. This list is subject to change on a whim, but at this moment it is valid. An odd observation, I dislike MtM, a lot. Easily consider it their worst album; but, if I am recalling the various songs histories correctly, half of my damn list is connected to that album. I'm so confused.
Man, I consider the MTM era to be my favorite LP era that's not ATS. I'm a Minutes to Midnight kid here. I'll have my tracklisting up on here ASAP!
Oh, no no! I wasn't saying you HAVE to make it flow! I was just saying it was an especial bitch to try to pull off on top of choosing the best ones with enough time to not make it a double CD.
I realize I didn't have to make it flow, but since I make a lot of playlists I like to have a flow. maybe later I will post my screw it all list.
