BTH, a cover for something bigger?

    As the first preview of the new video gets closer, some clues have led some of us to think the video will not be BTH. Then, it might be Don't Stay, as Mike (I think) have said it'd be a single one day. But I start to think all the secrecy about this video is to hide something bigger than a Meteora single. I think they have a new song for us :chemist: .

    OK, I'm maybe paranoid, and the possibility that this is possible (lol) is very slight, but who knows :lol: ? As for you, what do you think?

    (BTW I'm not sure if this belonged to Chat or Meteora, so I posted it in Chat :D ).

    I mentioned this to Mark yesterday.

    I think they're making a video for either "Nocturnal" or "Shifter."

    It'd be nice, but I don't think so.

    Singles and videos are usually made to promote an album and put sales up. Nocturnal and Shifter aren't on any albums, so what's the marketing startegy in that? But I can see something like a b-side on the single cd. I'd love it though.

    i highly disagree, that would be the tightest thing ever sure, but i doubt it big time. man i wish they would have left those songs on there, they said their reason for taking them off was they didnt fit the album, well, look at "nobodys listening" thats a wee bit diff, plus by the names, "Nocturnal' "Shifter" they sound awesome!!!! begs the question, what are they about? another nameless you done em wrong? doubt it...although i hope yall prove me wrong and it is a vid for one of those songs

    erm is this a possability, on LP.com a while ago mike suggested that they had thought of new ideas for the meteora songs, is it possible they have done a remix of a song from meteora

    A lot of bands make videos for songs that aren't on their albums. I couldn't name any of the top of my head, but a lot of bands do do that. Linkin Park might be doing that same thing. Don't throw out the possibility just because it's not done all the time. ;)

    Well if BTH is the next single than I think that the song will be another version. It'll probably be the version that they play live.

    If by any chance LP did a new song. It would probably be for a soundtrack.

    Yes, but when you think about Warner Bros' ultra-tight grip on single selection for Linkin Park, you also think about their greedy tendancies. Why make a video for a song that will only be put on a $3 cd-s? You could always release a song from an album at the set price of $19.98 and make millions more. You'd get almost 7x more cash.

    Edit: Oh, soundtrack song. Didn't see that. That could make sense. But it's still off an album; a soundtrack.

    you know in the making of meteora DVD, they show that richtor scale thing and also has Chester singing, and at the end he says "DA, DAH" maybe thats the song.... am i right, huh, huh, am i not right? oh yeah!.... that was fun to say :teehee: but the odds of that are slim.

    I wouldn't be suprised if they made a remix of Breaking The Habit (they already were talking about remixing songs from Meteora and doing something with them) and it included Mike in the song. This would be great... especially if it would be good enough to shut up people like Dru at LPMB.

    Whoa! An idea strikes! Thank you!

    LP have made a rockier version of "Breaking the Habit" with Mike singing in it too, much like what Evanescence did to "My Immortal" by adding the guitars.

    Eh? Eh?
