Concert Proceeds Donated To PNRI

    At a recent concert in Tacoma, Washington on February 13th, Mike Shinoda announced before Linkin Park's encore that the band would be donating a portion of the proceeds taken in during that nights show to the local Pacific Northwest Research Institute. The PNRI, founded in the mid-nineteen fifties, researches for finding cures for diseases such as cancer and diabetes. The donation was supposedly in memory of a friend of drummer Rob Bourdon who passed away due to cancer.

    They said "a portion", so I don't know if that's 1%, 99%, or anything in between.

    such a great thing LP did. although i was unable to attend that show :( i heard about this in the news section and though it was just great.

    I was there!!!! :D :p OMG!!!! everyone was like screaming after Mike :mike: anounced that. :rolleyes: Including me!!!! It was a great concert. the best time of my life, even though it was my first concert!!!! :mike: :chaz: :joe: :brad: :phoenix: :rob:

    yeh, i didnt read that word "of". man i got scared there for a second...

    but none the less, what linkin park is doing is awsome, i always respect those who give to charity
