It's taking ages to stream, but I like the first 20 seconds.

 

The riff reminds me of Country House by Blur. Brilliant, though. I'm really looking forward to the album.

 

I loved the homage to Nirvana's Unplugged performance.

p.s. I gotta recommend John Frusciante's solo music. I have heard some of it and I like what I am hearing.

 

I've probably heard more than you have (my uncle was into Frusciante's music back then, since it was less mainstream and mostly druggie music) and I have to concur.

He really is an amazing songwriter.

 

Yes I have recently discovered his music. Its great.

 

And By The Way is basically also a Frusciante album as well. The reason it sounds so different compared to their other albums is because Frusciante took the helm. Sadly, it almost broke the Peppers up, but luckily that's not the case.

 

its an addicting song. I like the guitar. What bands are they doing? I saw Elvis/Frank Sinatra, The Beatles, Marilyn Manson, Van Halen/Bon Jovi/Big hair era/Nirvana.. what else?

I'm thinking it's more The Used than My Chemical Romance, because of the pants he's wearing. But the tie alludes to MCR.

of course it could be both. or maybe I'm just wishing to see a Used reference.

 

It's not jus the pants it's the shirt, and the way his hair is.

 

And the misfits, Mr. Kedis's hair is the misfit trademark. I think that is what you ment by Marilyn Manson.
