This poem is dedicated to my friend. It is a recent traumatic experience. I wish her the best, forever and ever after hearing her story. A feeling of fire, vigor and adrenaline. The young night was sure to last, for what brought that night is sure to last. A nightmare to remember. I'll never be the same. What began as laughter, had soon turned to pain. All the security with me. A long car ride across town. A gathering of a few close friends, and a night of many laughs. What a party tonight, we'll crash. The house had a warm vibe. The party began it's course, But for a quick few moments. The clank of bottles were heard. A rush of images, around and around. What was happening, Who were these friends of friends strangers? I'll never see the same. The morning brought a new day. Unsure of where I was, For was it a surprising dream? I looked in the mirror and the world had a strange face. I called all that who know me. My friends as the trusting wall, They shared what had passed. A frightful chill shook the foundations of my body. Having been robbed of myself; I look at my friends before me, Who was my security for me. For I was left with nothing, but insecurity.
