I have few questions about demo of LP. I read list of Demo's on Lyrics page of your web site. They are: Rhinestone (Forgotten Demo) - it's Xero? Am I right? A Place For My Head (Demo) Esaúl (A Place For My Head Demo) By Myself (Demo) - Wow! I didn't know there's one more demo besides SuperXero SuperXero (By Myself Demo) Carousel (Demo) Crawling (Demo) Now I See (With You Demo) - What's the differense between the demo and original version? Lyrics seems to be the same. Or I'm mistaken. Part Of Me (Demo) Points Of Authority (Demo 2) - What's the full length of this song, 'cause I have only 2:10, which seems to be cut Points Of Authority (Demo 1) The Untitled (In The End Demo) 1stp Klosr (Demo) - Missing item in my collection.
Now i see (demo) you are mistaken. take the hybid theory version of it, and read it with the song, there different PoA (demo 2) apparently so, or you just need to look other places where they have song lentghes.
I've just listened to the HT version and read lyrics of Now I See. I saw no difference. Maybe I'm blind, but.... Can someone point me to that difference? I even compared lyrics from your web site in Microsoft Word. I made 2 colums. I saw differences only in some punctuation. Huh....
Oohh, yea, pucntuation is different beacuse its not the same sounds, it only sounds differnet. thats all. sorry to confuse you
yeah, that "With You" Demo is pretty much the same. I deleted it because it was so similar. The "Crawling" demo is awesome. "Raindrops put the rhythm on the pavement, and drip from the blacktop into the basement. Traces of the rain pervade this to erase your hate and take this from thefakeness."
Question, whis is not concerning this thread, but anyway, I didn't want to create a new tread. Rock & Roll (Could Never Hip Hop Like This) Pt. 2 I have the version without Chester singing in the end of the song. my version ends with the words: "Better play like Jehova witness, just spread the word." Is the part was just cut, or it is some special version? I think, the first is more likely, but anyway. Mine song length is 6:22. Who has it, can you post the full verion length. I'm just curious, 'cause it's already long. How long is the full version then? By the way, is there a Pt 1? What does the number in the end of the name mean?
Answering all the questions in the thread: Rhinestone has 2 versions. There's a Xero version and a version LP recorded with Chester singing. There are 3 different demos of A Place for My Head, and 3 different demos of By Myself. All sound very similar, but there are a few differences. All the differences between Now I See and With You are in the music, not the lyrics. The lengths of the 2 Points of Authority demos are 2:46 and 3:23. The 1stp Klosr demo is the version on Frat Party that has a longer ending, slightly different mixing, and no Jon Davis part. I dunno what's up with your Rock And Roll track, because the full-length one is 7:19, and that's including a skit at the end of the song. The music part is 6:22, just like your version, but there's a LOT more after Lord Finesse's verse ends. Maybe your file is just corrupted or something, because the order of the song goes, intro with Grand Wizard Theodore and Afrika Bambataa talking, Mike's verse, Lord Finesse's verse, Chester's part, and the instrumental outro. Part 1 of Rock And Roll was on an older Handsome Boy Modeling School CD, Part 2 is basically a remix with Mike and Chester's parts being new to the song.
Great Thanks to you. So now I know, that my Points Of Authority (Demo2) and Rock And Roll are cut, which is bad. I'll need to search for full versions. I've just noticed, that I already have both Rhinestone by Xero, and Forgotten Demo with Chester. LPassociation web site has lyrics only of 2 A Place for My Head and 2 By Myself Demo's. What about third version of both demos. Where can I fin lyrics for them?
Have you guys heard of the rest of their unreleased songs, such as hole, drag, she shines and many more. I personaly would like to see many more songs like those especially hole I love the beginning of that.
Lyrics to the 3rd ones are really similar to the other versions, but I think I have them somewhere...lemme look.
Hole, drag, she shines - are the grey daze songs, and they are released! First two are from No Sun Today album, and the last is from Wake Me.
Wizard Song is from the Making of Meteora DVD, it's just a joke song they made screwing around in the studio.
I know such non-album songs and covers: Chester - System DJ Lethal feat. Chester Bennington - State Of The Art (also Linkin Park - State Of The Art (album version)) - they seems to be the same. Maybe it's just different names of the same song. Linkin Park - Rock And Roll (feat. HBMS) Walking Dead (DJ Z-Trip feat. Chester Bennington) The Morning After (Acoustic) (Live) SWEET CHILD O' MINE (GUNS 'N' ROSES COVER) High Voltage (Reprise) - I saw this in your lyrics page. What's the reprise? Karma Killer (Feat. Chester Bennington) It's Goin' Down (Feat. Mike Shinoda & Mr. Hahn) - I wonder why are there only Mike and Hahn mentioned, if in the clip there are also Phoenix and Rob??? Jane Says (Jane's Addiction Cover) (Live) Buy Myslf (Manson) MY OWN SUMMER (DEFTONES COVER) Fort Minor - Remember The Name - why is this song in 'other' list? Also I know Wish (NIN cover), which lyrics aren't posted. The Wizard song 99 Problems (Extended Mix feat. Jay-Z) (4:40) - I've heard about this mix, but I don't know whether it's some kind of official, or it's just a fan mix. Dj Vice Feat. Mike Shinoda - Freestyle Enjoy The Silence (Reinterpreted by Mike Shinoda 2004) - It seems to be a song by DM, only remixed by Mike. Without his voice in it, yaeh? Numb/Encore/Yesterday (live) Are there any other covers or songs relating to this category of songs?
hmm heres some bsides you havent mentioned ~ Beats that Mike did for MTV -- 100 degrees -- Hype -- Madison -- Montreal -- Saturday - A.06 (track dropped from Meteora) - Dedicated (demo from 1999) - Let Down (live track Chester did last year) - Morning After (Julien K remix) - Secret (instrumental) - Sold My Soul to Yo Mama (instrumental with samples from HT) - Standing in the Middle of it (Track with Mike and Motion Man) ~ Instrumentals -- Enth E nd -- Frg/10 -- Its Going Down -- Krwlng -- Numb / Encore i also have a really good remix of papercut that i got from some site.. it said something about David Bowie but after listening to it i dont see why
Underground albums - A.06 (track dropped from Meteora) - Underground v2.0 (I think, that we can cosider Underground as albums) - Dedicated (demo from 1999) - Underground v2.0 - Secret (instrumental) - isn't this, so called, Ambient, which is after the Part Of Me song? - Sold My Soul to Yo Mama (instrumental with samples from HT) - Underground V4.0 - Standing in the Middle of it (Track with Mike and Motion Man) - Underground V4.0
There's also an instrumental/acapella of H! Vltg3 that was only on vinyl. State of the Art's album version has never been released. The only one was ripped from 91X radio in California. A guy named Jamie looped the instrumental sections over where the radio ads were in the song, and every website under the damn blue sky was all OMGZ ALBUM VERSION! But yeah, it's one song, and Chester is the only LP member on it. High Voltage Reprise = High Voltage Remix (OSC single, Frat Party, etc.) It's Goin' Down was just the X-Ecutioners, Mike, and Joe. Phoenix and Rob play in the video but aren't actually on the track. (Chester and Brad are both in the video as well, but not playing anything) The 99 Problems Closer thing was a mashup done by Al-b3. He did 3 versions, one of One Step Closer/99 Problems, one of One Step Closer/99 Problems with Jon Davis' Reanimation part, and one of Don't Stay/99 Problems. All of these came out months before Collision Course did. Mike remixed Enjoy the Silence, and he plays every instrument on it basically (Rob also plays the drums on it), but didn't do any vocals. The 3 By Myself demos, for whoever asked, are the one from the 2 track demo CD, the one from the 9 track demo CD, and the one from the old Hybrid Theory website. Same goes for A Place for My Head.
