Well, as mentioned in Friskey's thread, the site, www.athreadoflight.com, updated with the inclusion of the name of the new album, the tracklist, and a small snippet of the title track. Here's how the fourthcoming album, Storm The Gates Of Hell, shapes up: I···STORM THE GATES OF HELL II···LEAD US HOME III···SIXTEEN IV···FADING AWAY V···CARRY ME DOWN VI···A THREAD OF LIGHT VII···I AM YOU VIII···INCISION IX···THORNS X···FOLLOW THE WOLVES XI···FICTION KINGDOM XII···THE WRATH OF GOD SPECIAL & LIMITED EDITION BONUS TRACKS: XIII···NO REASON TO EXIST XIV···GRAND FINALE Another update will come on October 1st. Storm The Gates Of Hell will see its release on November 6th through SolidState.
Really like their new song, although I thought the album title was gonna be A Thread of Light though...sounds better IMO.
Yeah, I was pretty suprised when it wasn't A Thread Of Light, but Storm The Gates Of Hell has this frantic, 'get ready for battle' kind of feel to it.
You know I love this heavy stuff, but I had a quick question for those of you who are more acquainted with DH. "My Heartstrings Come Undone" is an amazing song, quite possibly one of my top 10 songs ever (easy top 20). Do they have any slower songs like that song on previous albums? Highly anticipating the new album.
09/08 post: "The Tide Began To Rise" is probably the only other slow song...which is on "The Triptych". But there's a special edition of the album which has that song, "My Throat is an Open Grave" and "MHCU" all acoustically, so you may wanna check that out. 09/18 EDIT: http://www.myspace.com/demonhunter "Fading Away" is on the site in full.
They sure don't, at least none I can remember. I think "My Heartstrings Come Undone" may have been an "in-the-moment" song, you know? They are quite an amazing band though. One of my favorites.
The promotional site, athreadoflight.com , has been updated. After fiddling around with the controls, it hints that something will happen on October 9th on their MySpace page. New song, possibly?
Turns out you were right. "Storm The Gates of Hell" is on their MySpace. Along with the album cover. This album is shaping up to be fucking amazing.
Storm The Gates Of Hell sounds sick. I love it. http://headbangersblog.mtv.com/2007/10/11/video-premiere-demon-hunters-fading-away/ The video for Fading Away. Unfortunately, Demon Hunter never gave a thought to Canadian fans because we can't view it.
