Unconventional. To this day, MTM is the only Linkin Park album that I have not fully embraced at one time or another. By that, I mean I have never been able to easily listen to the album from start to finish, except on rare occasions. There is something about MTM that has always been off-putting to me, more so than the other albums. I think this feeling may have to do with how random the placement of the tracks are and how it doesn't consistently flow with every song. The back-and-forth between heavy and soft songs is an interesting dynamic, however. That is, until it's virtually all soft-to-medium intensity songs in the second half, the only heavy song being No More Sorrow. All of this said, I still appreciate what the band was trying to do with this release by trying new things and not making the same sound for the sake of it.
