This looks awesome! I'm excited that there's going to be something along the lines of Halo that isn't Xbox exclusive.

I've updated the original post with some images and some new links. I'll continue to do so and I find more information.

Definitely excited to see more. Interesting to hear them openly announce ten years of Destiny, this will be big.

Their marketing department pushing all this massively multiplayer stuff, with the co-op play, "persistent worlds," "shared experiences" and other "social" gimmicks is like Bungie is screaming at me DON'T BUY THIS as loud as they can.

By the way Hawk, I love your avatar.

I won't know until I read the critical reviews after it's released.

Even though I've read a lot about it, I'm still not sure what Destiny is.

Skyrim in Space would be most welcome. But not if a random tween with a mic on Live is forced into my game.

Well, I'm certainly all for a big game company trying to do something different and ambitious. So I'll have my eyes on this.

For 360 and PS3 only, not PC.

According to the source code, there may potentially be releases on platforms outside of the 360 and PS3.

Oh cool, really gonna get this now, whats the age rating? Hopefully it's more mature than Halo in terms of content like violence and language.

Destiny practically is Skyrim in Space, but you get to shoot a gun. :p

And if my age group as a whole actually does prefer Halo over something amazing-looking as Destiny, i'd restore my faith in humanity if anything.

I think you'll find Destiny is less mature than Halo in all aspects except gameplay. Jason said that the game will "feed your inner six year-old", saying that the game will be more fantasy-based, rooting from modern MMO games like Warcraft, but since the game itself is and open-world MMOFPS, it definitely won't be child's play.

Like it ever looked like it was gonna come out this year. :sheldon:

    Wii U and Playstation Vita?

I mean, Destiny releases for Wii U I can partly understand, but I don't think something like Destiny is gonna work on a dual screen. But THE VITA? OH COME ON ACTIVISION! We've seen FPS franchises like Call of Duty and Resistance fail massively on handheld. The genre is not made for handheld. Even if it is only a Comet release, not a Destiny one, I really can't see why Activision would bother releasing a handheld FPS after the bomb that was Call Of Duty: Black Ops Declassified.
