Is it just me, or does Linkin Park's 6th studio album The Hunting Party goes with The Hunger Games overall theme? Or at least both of them resemble this "hunting" theme. I mean, The Hunger Games has bow and arrow and reflect on the hunting theme, meanwhile The Hunting Party also has this strange "hunting" theme to it and on the album cover it also has bow and arrow theme to it. Not to mention that The Hunger Games has also kinda "modern" feeling to it. So does one of the songs in The Hunting Party called Until It's Gone, the music video/lyric video takes place at a city. Was The Hunting Party inspired by The Hunger Games? So yeah... what do you think?
The Hunting Party and The Hunger Games, a sign? Seriously, i dont think anything related the both things, sorry
You'll find that you can link "The Hunting Party" in that exact same way to any story involving archery and/or teenagers and/or anti-authoritarian themes. Love it, Believe it. All of this is true, and anywho who has seen this post and still can't see it, is a blind fool, the signs are right in front our face. Great post hope every1 who is without God, are just doesn't know their being brain washed by this music mess, i hope they wake up and be there own person. ▲▲▲
There's not really a theme of "hunting" beyond the title, cover, and the story behind the name, which is just that they wanted something that sounded aggressive. Lyrically I don't think there's anything unifying between the songs. KTTK is just hating yourself and Mike being a good rapper, Until it's gone is about letting your kids grow up/losing something, Rebellion is a commentary on society, etc. Hunger Games is at its core about an oppressive government.
I can picture it now. After a long day of writing soft indie/pop demos Mike goes home and watches a marathon of The Hunger Games and experiences an epiphany. The next day he rushes into the studio shouting "Guys!!! Screw those demos I have a new idea!!!" Thus The Hunting Party was born.
Actually quite frankly I think Rebellion kinda does reflect the Hunger Games theme most out of all the other songs from THP both lyrically and thematically; in The Hunger Games the people turn rebellious against the Capitol but that's if if you're familiar with the Hunger Games trilogy. Other than that, i dunno. And far away they burn their buildings
The song would fit if the denizens of the upper class rebelled against something. Even when fashions change, they're not really rebelling against anything.
