For those who were a fan of El-P's 2012 LP Cancer For Cure, this will be a treat for you guys. El-P and Killer Mike are releasing a free album tomorrow called Run The Jewels, and from the tracks 36" Chain, Banana Clipper featuring Outkast's Big Boi, and Get It (all of which you can listen to below) it's going to be a very promising album. Plus, who doesn't like free and legal music, especially when it's fucking awesome right? You can download the album here which also includes bundles if you want a physical copy of the album on CD/vinyl formats, and other goodies that come with them. 36" Chain Banana Clipper featuring Big Boi Get It
Looking forward to this. Didn't know it would be free... that's awesome! edit: DOWNLOAD: http://foolsgoldrecs.com/runthejewels/ edit 2: Holy fuck this is dope! I didn't think I'd like it as much as I do. The beats on this are absolutely nuts!
Giving it a listen now. I thought it was going to be hard to top C4C, but this album really exceeds my expectations. I might just order a CD copy of the album.
I loved R.A.P. music. You can see the connection in their interviews. I've been waiting for this but didn't know it was FREE. I'm all over this. Edit: Four songs in. This album goes very hard and I love the subject matter. Best rap album so far this year. DDFH is nuts. I liked Yeesuz but I had to delete it. It's just a cheap imitation of this and Death Grips. Sea Legs has the smoothest chords with the grimiest drums. It's like the Queen of the Damned soundtrack mixed with boom bap. EL-P is a very underrated rapper.
Does anyone know of a direct link? I click "confirm and download" via email, and the site doesn't load...
Well it hasn't been a month yet. Just listened to this. It was great! Really good beats, and great lyrics. Loved pretty much every song.
This album still holds up really well after about a month, and I'm not even bored with it yet. My favorite tracks so far are DDFH, Sea Legs, No Come Down (I love how the verses on this song are identical to Stay Down on El-P's Cancer For Cure) and A Christmas Fucking Miracle.
Favorites: 36'' Chain, DDFH, Sea Legs, Job Well Done, No Come Down & A Christmas Fucking Miracle. The production on this album is absolutely crazy.
