Yes, I remember there being Evanescence threads but they're pretty old and I couldn't find them on the first two pages of posts, so I made a new thread to spread new information. Evanescence is set to release their major-label sophomore effort, The Open Door on October 3rd. The first single is said to be "Call Me When You're Sober" and they have finished shooting the video and sources say that it should be out in about 2 1/2 weeks. The tracklisting (which I believe hasn't been posted on here before but if it has, I apologize) is as follows: Sweet Sacrifice Call Me When You're Sober Weight Of The World Lithium Cloud Nine Snow White Queen Lacrymosa Like You Lose Control The Only One Your Star All That I'm Living For Good Enough Tracklisting SOURCE: www.evanescencewebsite.com (the forum) Also, there is a commercial advertisement for the new album on the site which includes a clip of a song from the CD. The song sounds amazing from the short clip you get to hear, but I'm highly anticipating this album.
Wow. I'm actually impressed. If most of the songs are dark like that, and have the symphonic sounds, then I might actually be buying an album for the first time since 2005.
No, it's not a cover. The owner of the site, on the main page, described Lithium as power ballad-ish.
I would actually like to see them take their acoustic cover of Heart-Shaped Box into the studio. It was already pretty fucking good on a radio show, imagine it put to record.
Yeah, I used to listen to that cover all the time on my old computer. It was great. and I agree that the clip is impressive with how dark and symphonic it is...I guess Amy wasn't lying when she said she was being inspired by Vampires and Van Helsing.
Sorry, Typo. I added it to the release calendar awhile ago, so yeah, I knew it was the 3rd. Honest Mistake.
Has anyone seen the commercial for this record on tv? I saw it last night, and that song sounds amazing, does anyone know what its called or where I can listen to a full version?
Here, I found it on YouTube. It's not as amazing as I remembered at 3am last night, but it's still quite good.
The clip was also on Evanescencewebsite, a few news posts down in a zip file. I have no idea what song it is, but judging from the song description, it might be "Sweet Sacrifice" but that's just my guess. EDIT: Then again, on the evanescencewebsite boards they are talking about lyrics from Lacrymosa, so that's probably the song in the ad.
