    I don't even know how to respond to the chaos that appeared in this thread. Seriously.
    The immaturity level has now hit an all time maximum. No one has heard the album and no one can judge the sound from a mix of words from a piece of a magazine.
    Do you want to know about the only source of music we've heard that's even relative to the new album up to now everyone? And do you want to see if it sounds like Meteora?

    Are there heavy guitars? How about the words "heal", "feel", or "numb"? Oh, what about screaming? No?
    Because I think those chimes and that nice digital effect sounds so much like Hybrid Theory and Meteora :kappa:

    THIS IS WHAT I WANT TO HEAR, TO PREVENT ANY MISINTERPRETATION OF THE OLD AND NEW LP... LINKIN PARK SELF-TITLED ALBUM WOULD BE THE APPROPRIATE NAME.. THE LESSON THEY LEARNED ON HT AND METEORA [OLD] VS. MTM AND ATS [NEW]....

    I NOTICED NEW DIVIDE WAS THE PERFECT EXAMPLE OF OLD VS NEW COMBINATION.. MIX OF OLD DYNAMICS WITH NEW ELECTRO FEEL TO IT THAT MAKE IT SOMETHING UNIQUE..

    Well, Phoenix did tweet about album title ideas. I think I can "possibly assume" that they may be at that point now.

    oh yes, didn't saw that tweet, he appears to be very excited wich is great :lol:. if it's a mix of old and new then the album name should be something very interesting. We'll see, soon hopefully :-D

    Not exactly; "selling out", in this case, would be doing anything that eschews artistic integrity solely in favour of ... monetary gain. :) Wikipedia defines it as "the compromising of integrity, morality, or principles in exchange for money or "success" (however defined)" - it's basically taking the route that leads to the most sucess solely because it leads to the most success.

    That's not to say Linkin Park definitely "sold out", but it is to say that there's more than one way to "sell out". It's not always just a change of sound ;)

    I actually had to explain this to someone else earlier in the thread so I'll just quote myself:

    And, again, I don't mean that to say that that's definitely what the band intended.

    On topic, wow! Lot of articles on LP that are completely fucked up. :lol:

    I'm tentatively cautious of the new album but that's mostly because I feel if I think it'll be horrible, then I'll just love it that much more even if there isn't any evidence that it will suck.
