Haha yes, gosh, how much I hate hearing The Catalyst is a techno song. Only superficial and music ignorants (ignorant in the sense of not knowing) can say something like that.

And as for the percentages, well like you said Mike tweeted they were "a bit" off, which makes them not completely wrong, but I don't think they are close to being right either, I don't trust that "bit off" completely.

As for the album, I'll just approach it like I did with ATS. No expectations. None. Nada. Zip.

That way if it sucks, I won't be monumentally disappointed, and if it's awesome, it'll blow my mind.

 

Yeah man, if Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails had stuck with the sound from Pretty Hate Machine, he'd have set his sound and wouldn't be considered the dropout he's considered now.

 

I certainly would like an instrumental also inside of the album, an energic one, EPIC, epic like a fartosaurus would be.

 

Well it certainly isn't faster than a cheetah strapped to a muddafuggin space rocket!

 

The idea of big choruses and Hybrid Theory sensibilities don't really excite me. But we'll see.

 

Thanks for your welcome. I agree with you you know ! I don't criticize the fact that you don't like Meteora, i respect that. But I read some LPA members who make a "caricature" of fans who thinks that the band has sold out with MTM. Myself i agree with this fans, in my opinion the band changed to become more popular and have a mainstream audience (i talk songs like "Shadow of the day", "Leave out all the rest", "Valentine's day"...) I don't against the fact that the band changed, i just disagree with the direction they took. So when i read people who said that the new LP is better and Old LP sucks that's make me angry. I don't want Hybrid Theory part 3, i just want a rock album and not pop.

And sorry if i hurt people.

 

You can criticise me all you want, but I REALLY don't want linkin park going back to their old style. I don't mind if the songs are energetic, but please, not another Meteora. Let's hope the best...

The dinosaurs were ok, but after the first million years, I felt like they lost their artistic direction. They just kept going "back to their roots" and repeating everything they'd done over the last million years. "Rawr! *stomp stomp chomp*"

Don't get me wrong, I'll always love the dinosaurs, but they really are getting out of touch with their fanbase. It's all about the money and the fossil sales for them now.

 

Finish the controversy about Meteora; without meteora means without Somewhere i belong, Faint, Breaking the Habit, Numb. Plus Soundtrack , program, and other demos maybe we will never know. Meteora is another scar in Linkin Park Skin so it has its own story.
