One of the things that got me into the band was Meteora's style. Just the whole graffiti type theme is awesome to me. Musically it's all equal to me. . . For the most part.
Exactly, I got into the band around 2004 and just love that whole theme as well. But like you, I like it all as well. Hard to pinpoint an era personally.
I got into LP when Hybrid Theory was picking up steam, but my favorite era is by far the Meteora era. The songs are my favorite, their clothing style was my favorite, and their whole personality as a band was my favorite. This was the point where they went from being "an awesome band" to "my favorite band".
Seems like this is where they got most of their following around this time obviously. The more people I talk to this is what it seems.
I was a casual fan at best during the Meteora era, so my favorite is the Minutes To Midnight era. It was the first cycle I followed (the later part) and I think it's when the band really started to mature. Plus, I think Road To Revolution is better than Live In Texas because they became more of a stadium / arena band after MTM.
I'm tossing it up between Meteora and ATS. And I don't just mean the music, but the band as a whole, touring, the fandom and pretty much everything. I remember the Meteora era being really fun to take part of, even if it was so long ago that I'm starting to forget why. And the band was really active with fans in the ATS era. There was a lot of interaction.
I started following LP in the ATS era, so I'd choose that. Really, I watched all the interviews they'd give, search for news every single day... Wonder why it took me until now to join here?...
I think I'd choose the Minutes era, but I wasn't so much into LP back then... So, A Thousand Suns. I have to say it was a LOT more exciting than this current era.
2000-2002 Man, those were the days...great time to be a teenager ...also back in the day nu-metal was the thing so that there was a scene when all nu-metal bands exploded along with LP (System of a Down, Papa Roach, P.O.D, Crazy Town, Adema)... after Meteora, nu-metal kinda faded away, and LP was left alone.
MTM - was a really great time for me..i allways remember the first preview of "Given Up " and me screaming like crazy from loving it
This is really tough. I've really become a new person with each cycle. But I'm going with 2001-2002. This is where I became a huge fan and it helped me through a lot of my teen angst and in general it was played EVERYWHERE! So I didnt mind.
A THOUSAND SUNS! But I think I chose this era because I started listening to LP when ATS was released.. If I was a fan since 1996 I would choose Hybrid Theory...at least I think so
