So I've been listening to the Nerdist podcast without end lately, it's just brilliant and hilarious and they have an amazing pre ATTACH episode with Mike. But I kind of wanted to find some other great podcasts. What are some that you guys really enjoy?
comedian Bill Burr: http://www.billburr.com/podcast Pretty Much It - comedic talk show on the interweb about the latest movies and games: https://soundcloud.com/pretty-much-it
Religiously listen to the Film Junk podcast. It's one of the longest running and best ones. Besides that, Kevin Smith's SMODcast and Hollywood Babble-On. That Ralph Garman is one hilarious motherfucker...
Former Spill.com, these guys: https://soundcloud.com/kcoolman They review movies, but also talk about random stuff...funny as hell.
Nerdist is one of my favorites too, but otherwise it's mostly NowPlaying, long form movie reviews. Focuses mostly on retrospectives, now on Tuesday June 31st they'll resume their Transformers series with Age of Extinction
I used to listen to a lot of Kevin Smith podcasts. I keep up with the Joe Rogan podcast right now. I'm open to any and all though! Great thread.
I was actually surprised to find that I'm kind of a Joe Rogan fan when I listened to his for Maynard James Keenan.
Joe Rogan is the main one I've kept up with for the past couple of years. I check out Nerdist every now and then. Mysterious Universe is fun every once in a while. It's not a podcast but That Guy With the Glasses (particularly Nostalgia Critic) has a ton of great content, built around comedic reviews of movies and music. For short documentaries VICE is pretty good. And yes, Bill Burr is fucking hilarious. Go check out his full stand-up shows on youtube.
Frickin love Doug Walker and Nostalgia Critic I listen to Joe Rogan's stuff in moderation because sometimes his content tends to get a bit too out there (eg. all the drug talk).
In his defense Fleshlight is like the entire reason Smodcast got off the ground. Oh also, Neil DeGrasse Tyson's show Star Talk Radio is awesome as well (Why wouldn't it be it's NDfuckingT).
BTW, anyone familiar with Maddox's work (one of the first bloggers/satirists on the internet) should check out his newly released podcast series. I'm just warming up to it.
