Carrick has his days but he is good enough. Carrick is so underrated, you have to know the game and watch the game to understand Carrick's movement and positioning.

stats can't always be a true representation of what actually happens.. I'll agree, his passing was/is a major part of his game - and those stats are quite impressive. but IMO he didn't have a good game, there were other areas of his game that stats can't pick up on that where lacking for me and like cradle has already said he did cost them their second goal.. I think that's all he'll be good for now, "30 minute cameo" roles (at the very most) I bet most of his passes where no longer than 10 feet 'simple' triangluar moves in the middle of the pitch, not 90 yard long field balls cutting City apart! But then again you could argue that was his job role.. to slow the game down and if City didn't have the ball they couldn't score.. [edit] But with saying that I see he's popped up and scored today and played 70 minutes!
