Go to www.myspace.com/funeralforafriend Listen to their new single Into Oblivion (Reunion) It's a video on their page halfway down And you can also head on over to their Blog and get a track by track analysis by Matt and Ryan I think i like the new direction they are taking..need to wait for the whole album i guess Oh also, If you go to you tube type in, Funeral For A Friend - Out Of Reach, Thats another song they have released
I was never really a "fan" persay, but I am really liking these new songs. I only heard "Red Is The New Black" (absolutely LOVE that song) and their CD Hours and thought they were pretty good. this cd should be pretty good if the songs thus far tell us anything
omgz!! FFAF!! been waiting for this for a long time.. well since Hours lol. sounds great - i love their 'new sound' out of reach has been out for a while - im sure FFAF sent me an email with a download link - i've got a mp4 of that floating round on my PC somewhere - still a kick ass song though
I thought about posting this yesterday but I wasn't sure how everyone over here would react. I'm a huge fan so naturally I love the direction they're taking with this album. There's a whole bunch of people whining about how they used to be but as I see it, they're pulling off a perfect natural progression because they still have a knack for amazing melody in their work. I don't know what I'll listen to more on May 15 - this or Linkin Park.
Basically this guy right here said everything I was going to, lol. Funeral really are coming into their own now. Their EPs were amazing, then Casually was a slightly more commercial style, for example Juno to Juneau. Then Hours was them maturing but experimenting, I didn't really like this album (Hours) but anyone who seriously thought FFAF would return to their screamo roots after releasing an album like Hours was sorely mistaken. This song is everything Hours should have been and I for one am VERY excited and May 14th is shaping up to be a very good day for music in the UK.
That's what I've been saying since this year started LOL because of my two favorite bands who have the golden touch with music. Plus The Used, which should be decent. But for me it's more than music because Spider-man 3 is coming along on the 4th.. and on hopefully that means another solid soundtrack when it hits on May 1. Factor in POTC 3 and we have a hell of a month coming up.
Casually Dressed wasn't that commercial at the time. They were one of the first bands doing that style of music to become that popular if I'm not mistaken. Sorry if this seems rude but where the hell is the new song?
It was commercial when compared with their EPs. The way it was mixed, the vocal tone, the ratio of screaming to singing etc. You can find the new song on their myspace page but it's not on the player, it's about halfway down on a totally different video player.
FFAF are a fucking amazing band and the more I hear from them the more I love them. Hours was probably in my top 3 albums of 2005 and their early work kicks ass too. The new song on their Myspace page sounds pretty damn awesome aswell. May will definatly be a great month for music. 2007 is shaping up to be a great year for music on the whole actualy.
Whoah, I totally thought this band was gonna be some hardcore death metal lol. I dont really like it, too soft for me. (I listened to Into Oblivion)
