The fight was very true to my recollection of the book, without the source being thrown anyway. I'm just glad they didn't over do the scene. If you expect death, you'll never be let down.
No fucking way that happened I think its a day dream or something. Because it happened too quickly and it seemed a little comical too the way it was edited
FUCK that. FUCK everything about that scene. That last shot of Oberyn with his fucking head everywhere is so fucking depressing Sansa... She's just turning into Littlefinger's bitch/puppet. Arya made me laugh. The fact that they keep mentioning the Hound's wound makes me think it'll be fatal for him. Theon was almost cool. Them Wildlings... Getting closer and closer to Jon Snow.
Yea...... if there ever comes a time that I rewatch the series when it's all over, I'm just going to turn this episode off when it gets to that scene. Fuck that, they sure as hell didn't show any restraint on that scene. It's not the gore that gets me, it's his scream. They should have showed [removed] like he did in the book, but his reaction was pretty damn good though.
You raped my sister. You murdered her. You killed her children. This scene was so heart breaking in the books. It looked like Oberyn couldn't lose and then bam, snatched away from us. I miss you, Obi.
This whole episode was so fucking depressing. Sansa choosing the lesser of two evils that is going along with Baelish, Jorah being sent away by Khaleesi, Arya failing AGAIN to meet a member of her family, and kind of accepting her fate and laughing about it, Oberyn's death that kind of continues the tradition of killing the most righteous characters in the most gory ways possible, Tyrion's conviction...FUCK THIS.
As shocking as Oberyn's death was, it was consistent with the way the Song of Ice and Fire universe works. The reason righteous people keep dying is because they operate in a world that doesn't reward righteousness. Littlefinger is about as untrustworthy as a character can be, but if I'm Sansa, I'd rather be on the good side of the cunning little cunt who survives than anyone else.
I totally agree with you. The series just keep on confirming this. But I dont see it being the way things work till the end of series, since you can see righteousness and ethics on characters that are on both sides, even Lannisters which is the moste despicable house as of yet. I'm really curious to where this is going.
Really? Come on, that's just being anal about it. I honestly thought your reply was a joke. This instance and Joe removing my "Wow... GOT" shout in the shout box (not to mention the amount of fucking times Francios Dillinger spoiled Oberyn's death in the shout box this morning with no one bothering to remove it) is kind of reflecting how uptight the policy is. Whatever, not my site to run.
If we give an inch, some will take a mile. Best to nip it in the bud now. It's for the best interests of everyone. I'd rather not have this devolve once again into a debate on spoiler policies. It's not a difficult ask. Please respect that.
You posted this in the shoutbox as well and it appears you've been spoiling the whole day there: I'm not an admin but can I just ask you to not do that in the shoutbox? I don't want to log in here and see spoilers there. Other people will follow and spoil the shit out of everything. Agreed.
