Well lptimes, and chesterbennington.com has confirmed that given up is the new single and its being filmed as a live concert in manchester.. lol in my opinion i really wish it would of been "Valentine's Day" but i guess not.. i think it would of done alot better than given up.. oh well
Presuming there'll be five singles, I'll be disappointed if the last isn't either In Pieces or TLTGYA.
That's what I'm hoping for too. Given Up was a bad choice. It's gonna get zero airplay in Australia, that's for sure.
If they wanna put out a heavy single, the definately. At least that'd get some respect from metal fans (kind of) Given Up with just be dubbed as simple guitar and emo lyrics. Dumb move LP EDIT: Dumb move Warner
Whenever LP announce a single, you guys are NEVER happy with their choice. "Oh they should have pick this" etc, why? What does saying that actually do? When SoTD was announced, I remember a lot of people say "Oh they should have chose Given Up" well now they have and you're still not happy about it.
same in the UK - radio one plays every type of music out there really but IMO i cant see 'Given Up' being a splash heres radio one playlist, this is what is in rotation almost 24/7: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/playlist/ heres my stance on what the singles should have been.. 01. What I've Done - good choice for single number one 02. Bleed It Out - great single to keep album sales up 03. Shadow Of The Day - shows what LP can really do 04. In Pieces - more of an upbeat track (but not as upbeat as Given Up! its guna be played on the radio for heavans sake) 05. Little Things Give You Away - just 'cos thats my two cents but what do i know?
I agree, it should've been NMS. With the US election ahead of us, a politically charged song like this could have been a hit.
well seeing as the video is gonna be recorded as a live performace sort of thing (see the chester Bennington site) it might turn out a cool vid like faint was.... think about it....
Recorded live in Manchester? I'M GOING TO BE AT THAT CONCERT IN 17 DAYS! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! *dies from excitement* XD!! But, I think it's a cool song, so rock on.
The closest thing to screaming I've ever heard on Australia radio was in Aerosmiths' Don't Wanna Miss A Thing. Just doesn't happen here.
