    Release Date : 4/25/2006

    From Godsmack.com

This is the first album of 2006 that I'm totally psyched for. The first single is Speak. Haven't heard it yet because I don't download and I hate radio. Any thoughts on it? Anyone else excited for the new GS CD??

"Speak" sounded like every other Godsmack song in existance. Nothing fresh.

The IV title just reminds me too much of the cover art for Coheed and Cambria's Good Apollo..., and I'm trying not to have reservations on a part 2 of Voodoo, but it doesn't strike me as the greatest song to make a sequel to.

A sequel song sounds pretty strange, but I'm not going to say much until I hear it. Faceless was such a badass record that I'll trust them with whatever they do.

Godsmack, much like other bands of the same style, found a sound that apparently works for them and drove it into the ground so many times that it's getting boring. I'd like to see Godsmack try something different for once.

Meh, I've seen so many bands with 3 albums out that you can't even tell it's the same band on the 3rd album. In a bad way. So even if it sounds similar, if it's good, I'll keep enjoying their music. But your point is definantly valid.

I got tired of Godsmack the millionth time I saw that damn Go Army commercial.

But I won't make judgement until I acquire the new album.

Album art. Pretty generic, but it's album art. I care about the songs on the album.

I am looking forward to this now more than ever. I've been listening to Faceless on my way to and from work everyday. Very pumped for IV.

I think the album is bland. Sounds like the same rehashed stuff from all their old albums. I wouldn't be surprised if they were done after this. I thought it was kinda funny that they did a sequel to Voodoo though.

I actually liked Voodoo Too, it's probably even better than the original.

The whole album is good, better than the previous. Not as good as their first, though.

    7/10.

It's not a clone of the other albums. It's not a complete 180, but thats a good thing. I'm loving it so far. Shine Down is an awesome track.

    Voodoo Too ain't bad either.

This cd kicks ass. I can listen to it all the way through and enjoy every song.

Speak, hollow, shine down, voodoo too are probably my favs.

I think there are 4 or 5 songs that would have made a better lead single than 'Speak'. Enemy is awesome. I love the very first line.

Honestly, I hate the album. It's so generic and boring. Nothing on the album stands out to me.

I'll give it a few more listens later today, though.
