    Mike said a little while back that they will not be involved with TF3. I'd be stunned if they changed their mind.

    Yeah, from what Mike had said about Transformers 3, and by the fact that there is no source in the article of where the dude heard the rumor, I don't hold that blog post credible.

    I don't hold the blog post credible either, BUT, when asking the band about TF3 previously, I was under the impression that they meant a new song. Hence that they would need to be asked in far, far in advance to make the song. BITS isn't a new song, so it doesn't need any lead time (the soundtrack is one of the last items done in film production).

    Ergo, if all LP is contributing is an already existing track, then they wouldn't have known about it last summer when everyone was asking them.

    Myth Plausible, though far far from confirmed.
