Alright, guys, we get it.

For anyone just joining us, yes, we've seen the tracklist from that LinkinWarrior guy on Twitter and we're choosing not to post it because it's unconfirmed and possibly fake. I've never known that Warner site to remove postings and that's my reasoning for not making it news. It was supposedly up at this link. Someone can feel free to make a thread in LP Chat though.

Just to chime in here for the sake of people who don't understand. I'm not Derek but sometimes when you run a site like this you probably have some kind of line to management or someone higher up who probably knows their shit, and sometimes those people, for whatever reason, probably tell you things you can't necessarily source. This then puts people like Derek in a position where he has a choice, he can choose to either tell people what he's been told without giving a source or he can not say anything at all and let people believe what they want. Maybe he shouldn't have said anything, but he chose to and that's all it is. Just one person saying it's fake. Now you can either choose to believe him or choose not to believe him. I'm sure he'd reveal his source if he was allowed but obviously there's been some kind of informal agreement not to. I thought that was pretty obvious and goes without saying. So all I say to people is to believe what you want.

We had the choice to post the tracklist this morning when it was tweeted at us at like 12pm GMT or something. There's no master plan behind not posting it. In fact, I made the call. I didn't trust it. Any rumor we have legit reason to believe or can back up with some sort of evidence we'll happily post it. I didn't like the whole "link removed" issue as the site it apparently went up at NEVER removes links. It didn't sit right with me so I chose not to post it. Simple as that. I like to think I was right in doing so, but apparently trying to be credible and not confuse fans is a "stupid" thing to do these days.

I honestly don't know what else to say on the matter. It is what it is and it's really no big deal. Let's leave it at that. Getting back to posting news now would be great! Thanks!

 

Because I'm tired of the shit talking about me on other sites, I will confirm that the first part of what Joe said is absolutely correct. If people need to know how I got it confirmed it was fake, there's your answer.
