Not really news but AllMusic, interestingly enough, moved Hybrid Theory to 4 stars out of 5 but switched their album pick from HT to The Hunting Party. HT originally had 3 stars out of 5. For the past few years, they've been bumping up scores for albums released from 2000 onwards. Most likely a result of looking back at culture and seeing how artists survived and affected music. I know they bumped two of Kanye's albums from 4.5/5 to perfect scores. I think they also changed M.I.A.'s and Arcade Fire's debut albums to perfect scores.

The most important thing I noticed is that critic Stephen Thomas Erlewine really said nothing negative about LT or THP, so hopefully this shows people changing their initial views of Linkin Park and looking at their albums more fairly. They really do deserve to be on their own rather than always being lumped with nu-metal and high school angst, which is probably what affected how people approached LP.

 

That's cool that the bumped up the rating, haha. I remember they bumped Metallica's "Ride The Lightning" up from 4.5/5 to 5/5. About the album pick though, I'm thinking they bumped up Hybrid Theory's rating because of its influence, while THP is considered the better album. Just a guess though.
