I understand that men can be pigs. I get that. But when I can't even offer to help a woman at the grocery store without being yelled at for being sexist, I think it's gone too far.

 

it sucks that I'm doubting going to the University of Michigan....it feels as if I leave home then everything is gonna change and I'm not sure if that's a good thing. I feel as if my family (with the exception of my mom) and even my two best friends don't really want me to go, it's as if they're afraid for me but I don't know what it is they're afraid of.

 

I've been in that sitaution before but girl you'll be used to it! Trust me College can be fun too!

Josh has been over since Tuesday night and will be here at least til Sunday morning.

 

It's not even just that for me. Events from last night definitely seemed to take a turn for the worst after though.

We're moving tomorrow. It was postponed from last week. So we're actually doing it tomorrow. But we have nowhere to go and nowhere to put our stuff.

If I miscarry because of all the stress that my parents are lying on me, I swear to God I will never talk to them again.

 

Tell them that you are a full-grown adult and that they must either acknowledge it or live in a fairy tale that their daughter actually has a child now.

And by that, you are mature and responsible enough to do what you personally think is right, and not have to listen to others.

 

Right now my Dad is implying that I am going to throw my whole life away for this child, including whatever the hell my purpose of life is. I want a Mini Cooper and then he carried on about choosing the 'right path' which to him is abortion because apparently it takes five years to get your life back on track, while it took my sister a year and a half when she had her son.
I have balled my eyes out to both my mother and brother saying that I will never allow an abortion and when I go to Sydney on Tuesday to talk to Mum, she will drag her boyfriend who I didn't know existed until the other night when he had a go at me over the phone, into this as well.
Do I know what I am getting myself into? Hell sure as eggs I am. I know single mothers and I'm friends with them, but it's my fucking body and I will never allow an abortion. Maybe if I was a bit younger and I AM NOT A FUCKING CHILD.
What do I want to do in life? Is the question people have been asking me. I want a child. And I am going to get a legally binding document with my ex stating that he will support me or I am going to sue his ass off, once he gets what he wants and that is to see the first ultra sound.
Cos apparently I'm a lying bitch who lied about being pregnant so I could get cash out of him, or so that is what he has implied to me and won't give me a cent (but will give me $20 for my prenatal vitamins) until the first ultrasound.

 

Good for you. I'm happy that you're pushing against the pressure of your family to get an abortion. I think you're doing the right thing. It won't be easy, but it's the right thing to do. Stay strong, hon.
