As an artist though....thats got to be heart breaking....but oh well....never really cared for punk of any kind
I know. Sad. It's a sad day for me. Oh well, better start listening to metal.
Owch. Poor guys. I feel embarrased for them, thou.
This is getting annoying, you've been going on about Snoop Dogg in un-related topics since you've got here. Stop!
This is getting annoying, you've been going on about Snoop Dogg in un-related topics since you've got here. Stop!
She did it in my thread at Writer's Cove...it had to be my topic Going back on topic...Green Day got PWN3D!!11onehundredeleven!!111
You know I notice it's always the same jackasses jumping the boat to go "PWNED!!ROTFLMAOOMGWTFLOLZ!" in every thread about this type of thing, and it's seriously not funny anymore. Honestly it's pretty idiotic in it's own sense if you really think about it. What are you guys, 3 year olds? Grow up and stop acting like a bunch of fools, because seriously the whole "PWNED" trend went out a really long time ago. I'm sure if one of your musical idols flat out acted like you didn't exist (and seriously, where are all these supposedly influential punk bands now? They're nobodies), you'd be torn and a bit dejected by the whole thing. It's funny how these 'breakout punk bands' of the 70's have the right to pass judgement on who's punk, and ignore them if they aren't. They forget if they didn't have those fans in the first place they wouldn't have even gathered the following that they have. And for the record "MyName" I am going to ban you the next time you make a mention of Snoop Dogg OUT of a Snoop Dogg thread in these forums. You're obviously not contributing to these boards at all.
I know this is (probably) meant to be a light-hearted thread, but I think it's stupid how punk is meant to be about doing/being whatever you like of your own accord, being righteous and all that, and then there are people who have to set guidlines. I hate punk.
*reads Derek's post* Green Day got pwn3d. But that really must suck. Finally getting to meet your idol, and they don't even fucking know you.
It's really upsetting that he didn't know who they were but that doesn't mean he has the right to label a band "punk" or not just because he was in a punk band himself that is just plain arrogent, c'mon at least they're trying to keep the spirite alive, but to be honest, punk died a long time ago so I wouldn't call Greenday true punk myself, but with albums like "Dookie" and such they are the closest thing we have had to punk in a long, long time.
First off all the dude can't say they're not punks because punk in his day was alot different to the punk of today.Secondly it just shows that old artists aren't bothered to keep up with thetimes,if he had he would know that Green day are one of the largest bands in the world right now.Thirdly he should of payed a little more respect to people who idolise him.
That's funny, and people who argue against that are just ruining the fun. Who care's if punk has changed? I happens music changes. But being pwned by one of your idols would be funny. Unless it happened to me.
If I could have an OWNED picture right now I'd put it up, but I'm too lazy. For the record, I like Green Day, but that just sucks on their part.
