Green Day's 21st Century Breakdown!

I'm waiting for the equivalent of CD rips at least, if not my own copy of the album.

Now, gonna listen to the interview but so far my favorite songs are 21 guns and East Jesus Nowhere

 

I broke down and listened to East Jesus Nowhere and I'm in love with it, lol. Other than that song, I'm waiting until the album is fully released so I can listen to all the songs in their proper order. It's getting harder and harder to wait.

 

Restless Heart Syndrome is awesome but it just doesn't sound like Green Day lol.

I like all 6 currently on Green Day Authority though. Shaping up to be a pretty good album.

 

Hell, going by the 7 songs I've heard I already say that Rolling Stone was fair in giving them 4 and a half out of 5 stars.

 

I've never really been huge into Green Day. I bought American Idiot and liked it, but I've heard this new single "Know Your Enemy" on the radio a few times and I'm already sick of it. Seems more like album filler than a lead single. I hope the rest of their cd is better.

 

Meh, I'll wait until Friday to listen to anything else. I don't mind listening to the lead single before the album comes out or checking out a one-off song leak, but when 7 tracks from an 18 song album leak, I'd rather just wait and listen to the whole thing.

Plus, Friday's my birthday, and I don't think I'm getting anything else.

 

Before the Lobotomy, 21 Guns, and Restless Heart Syndrome were great, wasn't feeling the other 3. I get the feeling it'll be a very mixed album.

Still, what's good is pretty great.

 

Franz Ferdinand have been announced to support Green Day August 8th - August 26th.

These acts are not what I had in mind at all. I hope the show I'm going to on July 21st has someone a little better. *fingers crossed*

I heard this leaked. How was it?

 

It's incredible. At least to me it is.

My top 3 favorites off the album:

1. East Jesus Nowhere
2. American Eulogy
3. Restless Heart Syndrome

The album sounds like American Idiot Part II, but they make it work and I am completely satisfied with the results.

East Jesus Nowhere is like The Smiths on steroids. And a lot of them. Wow.

 

I didn't much care for the first single, it sounds like they made no progression at all since American Idiot. But that's just the one track, of course.

 

Kaiser Cheifs were one thing but Franz Ferdinand???
