I recently moved into my own apartment and I'm looking for a television for my bedroom. I would mostly use it for gaming on my Xbox 360 but I'll have cable, as well. I would probably set my budget at $400-500 but it's flexible depending on the deal I may or may not find. I'm primarily looking at LED-LCD and trying to steer away from Plasma. Obviously I want something worth the dollar that will last as long as TV should. Anyone have any good ideas? :)

I got a 32" 720p Vizio TV from Costco for around $400 for my bedroom and the quality is actually very good for the price, assuming you (or someone you know and can go with you) are a Costco member.

Argh, I don't think anyone I know has that type of membership anywhere. I do like Vizio though, I've looked at them a few times at Wal-Mart.

Well if it's for 360 purposes usually I would recommend getting it from the op shop. Like I did. It's a TV it doesn't HAVE to be big. As long as you can watch TV and play Xbox on it.

Well it's true you don't HAVE to spend over $100 for a tv, I got mine for $25 it's got two plugs for Xbox and High Def tuner, it's kinda flat, even the High Def tuner is way cheaper than any inbuilt one. I got my High Def tuner for $72 and even that isn't going over $100 in total. I don't see why people want big large screen ones when all of them really do the same job in the long run.

What's going to be an epic win in the long run is the money you'll save.

Well there are many reasons for a large television. My ares are pretty crap so if I'm sitting on a couch I can't see the picture in the living room right now... And then if the tv is really small and multiple people are viewing it, then there's very few places you can actually watch it.
